How do I use Melotin MR?

How much to take / use:

  • The usual dose of Melotin MR is one tablet once a day. There is no evidence that taking more than the recommended dose will increase the effect of Melotin MR.

  • Do not exceed the recommended dosage.

  • Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or divide your tablet.
    Each Melotin MR tablet has been specially designed to release the right dose of medicine while you sleep. If you crush, chew or divide the tablet they will not work properly.

  • Always follow the instructions provided with the medicine.

When to take / use Melotin MR:

  • Melotin MR should be taken at about the same time each day. Ideally, about 1-2 hours before you go to bed.

  • Taking it at the same time each day will provide the best effect. It will also help you remember when to take it.

  • Melotin MR should be taken with food.

Side Effects

All medicines can have side effects. If you do experience any side effects, most of them are minor and temporary. However, some side effects may need medical attention. Always consult your medical practitioner if you are unsure.

If you use too much Melotin MR:

If you think that you have used too much Melotin MR, you may need urgent medical attention. You should immediately

  • Phone the Poisons Information Centre (by calling 13 11 26), or

  • Contact your doctor, or

  • Go to the Emergency Department at your nearest hospital.
    You should do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.
